Lanin Volcano is located in the mountain range between Chile and Argentina, to the south of the two countries. It is a volcano with more than 3,000 meters of altitude and is considered an active volcano.
It is believed to have activity in approximately 540 AD, dated by radiocarbon, so its activity would be historical and can be considered as an active volcano.
Nowadays it has returned to activity, the service of mining in Chile, which watches the volcanoes of the country has declared a yellow alert for this volcano by its strange behavior in the last days. Photos taken 2014.
